Students play a crucial part in raising awareness when they encounter digital accessibility-related issues when accessing websites, documents, videos, platforms (e.g., Canvas), supplemental apps used in class, etc. Students should report accessibility-related issues (e.g., image-based PDFs, videos with inaccurate captions or no captions at all, etc.) to gtaccessibility@gatech.edu.
In addition, students are encouraged to contact the Office of Disability Services if they encounter academic, physical, technological, or other barriers on campus. The Office determines and coordinates reasonable accommodations for students with disabilities through their academic career at Georgia Tech.
Students Who Teach
Students who support courses through instruction and course content creation and dissemination (master’s and Ph.D. students serving as instructors and graduate teaching assistants) or the secondary support of instructional efforts (undergraduate teaching assistants) must also abide by Title II requirements for course accessibility.
If you are in either of these roles, please refer to the Instructional Content Creator Roles and Resources page to learn more about accessibility requirements for instructional content.
